Holy Week at OBC   Palm Sunday, April 9 at 11:00 am Join us for a celebration of Palm Sunday at the eleven o’clock worship service. The Deacons are looking for assistance from the OBC congregation to help with the Claremont Lafayette Presbyterian Kenyan Students Project. This Project entails making washable pads for Kenyan Teenagers. These girl are apparently missing school during their monthly menstrual cycles; which prevents them from graduating school. OBC Deacons are asking our OBC brothers and sisters for help with this project. We will meet on April 9th after church in the parlor, to start cutting patterns of the Pads on cotton…

Family Promise of Hudson County, an Interfaith Hospitality ministry with homeless families, will hold a Meet and Greet gathering on Tursday evening, April 20th at 7:00 PM. Come meet fellow host congregations and supporters. Share fellowship and refreshments! Come see the progress we've made!

Plan to join us in worship on Sunday, May 14th, at 11:00 AM. This Sunday will be Youth Sunday as well as include a recognition of Mothers and those who provide "mothering" roles in the community. The children will distribute flowers to all the women of the church. THere will be a coffee Fellowship gathering after worship.

We will celebrate Pentecost on Sunday,  June 4th. Confirmation students will be received as new members of our church, we will have a dramatic reading of the Pentecost story – complete with “tongues of fire” descending from the sky (or balcony), and we will conclude the service with Holy Communion. Following worship we will head outside to the front steps to share fellowship and empanadas with our neighbors as they pass by. Everyone is encouraged to wear red in celebration…

We will hold our annual Children’s Sunday along with the Sunday School Picnic on June 11th. Following worship, we will gather in the side parking lot for food, fun and fellowship. Burgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish or dessert to share.
