Visitor and New Member Luncheon
We encourage all visitors who are interested in learning more about Old Bergen Church, and all those who are interested in joining as new members to participate in a luncheon and information meeting on Saturday, May 14th at 11:00 AM. Please speak with the Pastor if you are interested or if you know of someone whom we should invite.

This coming Sunday, May 15th, is Pentecost. We will celebrate the "birth" of the church through the coming of the Holy Spirit. There will be a special dramatic reading of the Day of Pentecost. We will receive new members, and the coffee fellowship will take place out on the front steps of the church. Everyone is encouraged to wear RED in recognition of this day.

The young people of Old Bergen Church are hosting a “Wisdom Appreciation Luncheon” on Sunday, May 29th, following the morning worship Service. We invite all those members and visitors who are advanced in age and in wisdom to attend as our honored guests.

Children’s Day
We will celebrate Children’s Day in worship on Sunday, June 12th. The children and youth of the Sunday School will provide special music, readings and leadership for the worship service that morning. We will also recognize mile-markers for the young people – including rising third-graders, high school and college graduates.

Come join us for the annual Sunday School Picnic following worship on Sunday, June 12th. THe Sunday School will provide hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks. Please bring a favorite side dish or dessert to share. Don’t miss this great annual event!
Find out more »Pastor Away – Attending General Assembly
Our pastor, Rev. Jon Brown, will be away June 17 to 25 serving as a commissioner to the 222nd General Assembly in Portland, Oregon. If there is a pastoral emergency please contact the church office or Clerk of Consistory Session, Johnnie Lovejoy. Please keep Pastor Jon and all the participants of the Assembly in your prayers. Rev. Brown will return Saturday, June 25th and will lead worship on Sunday, June 26th.

Beginning June 19th (Father's Day), we will hold worship from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Sunday mornings. This will continue through Labor Day Weekend.
Find out more »Fathers’ Day – Guest Preacher
On June 19th we will observe Fathers' Day in worship. That Sunday we will welcome guest preacher, Elder Paul Talarico, former moderator of the Presbytery of the Palisades. The children will distribute gifts to all the men of the church. Please note that worship will begin at 10:00 AM in accordance with our Summer Schedule.

Old Bergen Goes to the Youth Triennium!
Several members of Old Bergen Church will be participating in the upcoming 2016 Presbyterian Youth Triennium. Pastor Jon is serving as the Worship Coordinator for the event. Francois Ibrahim and James Williams are on the Drama Team. Johnnie Lovejoy will be a Conference Dean. Kayla Badree is serving on the Work Crew. Sattie Deodat and Wendy Badree are serving as adult advisors to the young people on the Drama Team. The event itself begins on Tuesday, July 19 and concludes…

Summer Worship Schedule Comes to an End
September 4th (Labor Day Weekend) will be the last Sunday that we hold worship at 10:00 AM. Beginning September 11, Sunday worship will start at 11:00 AM. September 11th will also be “Rally Day” with a special fellowship and sharing time in the parlor from 10:00 to 11:00. Regular Sunday School classes will resume on September 18th.
