Thanksgiving Interfaith Thanksgiving Service
The McGinley Square/Journal Square neighborhoods will gather for an Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service at Metropolitan AME Zion Church on Tuesday, November 21st at 7:00 PM. Metropolitan AME Zion Church is located at 597 Bergen Avenue. The evenings offering will help for victims of the hurricane in Puerto Rico.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! On Sunday, December 10th, the junior and senior high will embark on what has become an annual event of Ice Skating at Bryant Park in Manhattan. Old Bergen Church, in cooperation with Garden State Episcopal Community Development (GSECD), will host the annual Interfaith Homeless Memorial Service. Old Bergen Church has initiated an exciting restoration project for its historic cemetery. The cemetery dates back to the late 1600's and is one of the oldest registered cemeteries west of the Hudson River. Many of the founding leaders of Bergen Village and Jersey City are interred within its walls.The current goals of the project include: restoring and repairing a number of headstones providing markers and interpretation for historically significant individuals making the cemetery safe for public use as a…
