Summer Peacemaking Program
Old Bergen Church will host our second annual Interfaith Children's Program this summer - Building A Neighborhood Together. Children and adult volunteers from a number of different faith traditions will gather August 20-23 to explore what it means to "love your neighbor". Using curriculum developed by the producers of Mister Roger's Neighborhood the children explore what it means to make a healthy and safe neighborhood for all its citizens. OBC Cemetery Restoration Project
Old Bergen Church continues in its work to restore its historic cemetery - dating back to the late 1600's. Most recently, we received preliminary approval at a public hearing for a grant for $100,000 from the Hudson County Open Space Trust Grant. These funds will help restore some of the damaged headstones and begin work on landscaping measures to make the nearly two acres of green space safe for public use. OLD BERGEN CEMETERY PROJECT RECIEVES HUDSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE GRANT
We are excited to share the good news that Old Bergen Church has been selected as one of this year’s recipients of the Hudson County Open Space Trust Grant. The grant is given to promote public spaces for recreational and historic preservation purposes. Soldier Care Packages
During the month of November, in recognition of Veterans Day, the Deacons will be working with Soldiers’ Angels (https://soldiersangels.org/) and collecting items to send care packages to those in service as well as veterans.
