Pastor Speaks at APCE Annual Event
On January 26th our pastor, Rev. Jon Brown preached and led the keynote address at the Annual Event of the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators (APCE) in Denver, Colorado. More than 600 pasotrs, educators and volunteers gathered from across the United States and Canada for the conference whose theme was "God With Us in the Chaos." The Deacons are looking for assistance from the OBC congregation to help with the Claremont Lafayette Presbyterian Kenyan Students Project. This Project entails making washable pads for Kenyan Teenagers. These girl are apparently missing school during their monthly menstrual cycles; which prevents them from graduating school.
