Sunday School News
One of the highlights of the Christmas Season was seeing the bright and excited faces of our children at our Zoom Children’s Christmas Party, December 13th. The Sunday School teachers sent cards and gifts to the students by mail and delivery. The children played Zoom Games, enjoyed music and energizer dances, and even shared in a special visit by Santa. We miss you, and wish you God’s blessings in the new year – hoping that this year will bring us…

That means we will hold off the election of new Deacons, Trustees and Elders for a few months. We will have a brief Zoom Congregational Meeting sometime in January to select a Nominating Committee and review the pastor’s Terms of Call. Stay tuned for news of a later Annual Meeting with reports and updates from the various committees and ministries and…

When the Trustees kicked off the Extra Commitment 2020 Campaign, we had no idea what the year 2020 was going to bring! While many congregations have suffered terrible losses because members no longer meet for worship in person or participate in the regular practice of collecting an offering each Sunday, we have learned new and creative ways of supporting the church’s ministry. Pentecost at Old Bergen
On May 23rd we will celebrate Pentecost with an in-person (hybrid) worship service. Many of our members have been vaccinated now and the infection rate of the virus is finally going down in New Jersey, so the Consistory Session has decided to open the church (at least for this one day) for in-person worship. Participants will need to wear masks and observe social distancing. The worship service will still be broadcast by Facebook live streaming video, but those who feel…
