Live Nativity
On Sunday, December 19th, we will have an impromptu telling of the Christmas story with a live nativity tableau during worship. There will not be any rehearsals. We will just see how many characters show up to portray the Christmas Story. Anyone who wants to join in is welcome!

Yes, the church will be open for Christmas Eve. We invite you to join us in person for this wonderful worship celebration at 7:00 PM. We ask everyone to please wear a face mask inside out of care for others and yourself. There will be a service of Lessons and Carols, special music, and the service will culminate in the lighting of candles. Congregational Meeting and Annual Meeting
The Consistory Session has called a brief congregational meeting on January 2nd, following worship for the purpose of electing three members at large to serve on the nominating committee. Similarly, the Consistory Session has called a congregational Meeting on February 6th, following worship. The purpose of the meeting is to hold our Annual Meeting; to hear committee reports, receive the budget for 2022, and elect officers. Committee chairs are asked to submit their reports by January 26th.

Rev. Brown will be away from February 16 to 20 attending the planning meeting of the Presbytery Youth Triennium in Indianapolis. Please call the church office should a pastoral emergency arise. Rev. Eileen Lindner will be our guest preacher on February 20th.

Our February Food Pantry will be held on Saturday, December 18th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. (Client numbers will be distributed beginning at 8:30 AM.) We are grateful for all those who have contributed food items and donations to support this important ministry of the Deacons to those experiencing food insecurity in our community. Ash Wednesday
Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on March 2nd this year. We will hold an evening service at 7:00 PM in person and by Facebook live streaming video. The service will include the imposition of ashes. Those who are interested can pick up a small packet of ashes from the church on Saturday, February 26th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon or Sunday morning, February 27th.

During the month of March the deacons are collecting women’s hygiene products to distribute at the Food Pantry on March 26th. These are costly items and many women must choose between food for their families and proper hygiene products. You can drop them off in the hamper located in the church parlor or simply make a financial donation and the deacons will purchase the products.
