Syrian Refugee Crisis – An Evening with Dr. Mary Mikhael

You have seen the images. You have heard the tragic news. Thousands of Syrian families have fled for their lives from war-torn Syria. Church World Service offices in Jersey City has worked to settle some of those families here in this community. Come learn more about this global tragedy that has now come to our own doorsteps. We will host Dr. Mary Mikhael on Tuesday evening, October 11th, at 7:00 pm.
Dr. Mary Mikhael is one of the leading authorities on Syria and Lebanon. For nearly twenty years she served as the Dean and President of the Near East School of Theology. She also served in the Women’s Program of the Middle East Council of Churches. She will be visiting with us following a meeting at the United Nations. Come learn about the current situation in Syria and the impact of the refugee crisis around the world.
