Bergen Square Day

Make plans to attend the first annual Bergen Square Day on Saturday, May 18th, from 1:00 – 6:00 PM. This event will focus on the historical roots of Jersey City as Bergen Village and celebrate the wonderful diversity of the present community. The center of the event will be at Bergen Square, corner of Academy and Bergen Ave. Bergen Avenue will be closed from Newkirk to Vroom for this one day street festival and will include entertainment, food and merchant venders, tours of Apple Tree House, Old Bergen Church and the Bergen Cemetery. Old Bergen Church will be an important part of this exciting day. We will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:30 in the cemetery and hold tours at 3:00 and 5:00 pm.
