Holy Week at OBC

PALM SUNDAY – Join us for live streaming video broadcast of worship at 11:00 AM via Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jonm.brown.94

You can pick up palms for use at home. There will be a drive up and walk up set up in the church parking lot on Saturday, April 4, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Please call or email the church if you would like someone to deliver palms to your home. This Sunday will also be Communion. We encourage you to set aside some bread and juice/wine to participate with us in this sacred experience. In the same manner as when the pastor or elders visit those homebound after the congregation has celebrated Communion together, you are invited to partake of the sacrament at home while watching live streaming.

MAUNDY THURSDAY –  At 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 9^th, we will observe Maundy Thursday by means of live streaming video. This night recalls the Last Supper with Jesus and his disciples. Again the site for viewing this is through Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jonm.brown.94  The service will also include the celebration of Holy Communion.

GOOD FRIDAY – There will be a Good Friday service of Light and Darkness on Friday, April 10^th, at 7:00 PM. Tune in to live streaming video as we recall the seven last words of Jesus, and remember the love of God revealed in the crucifixion of Christ.

EASTER MORNING – We will broadcast the Easter service celebration of the Resurrection Sunday morning, April 12^th, at 11:00 AM. The service will begin in the cemetery – reminding us of the first Easter when Jesus first appeared to Mary outside the tomb. The few people who will be leading worship will then process into the church sanctuary where we will conclude the service.
