SUMMARY:ASH WEDNESDAY\, FEBRUARY 14th
DESCRIPTION:This year Ash Wednesday (the mark of the beginning of Lent) falls on Valentine’s Day. We will hold our Ash Wednesday service in the church sanctuary at 7:00 PM. During that worship experience participants receive ashes created from the previous year’s palms of Palm Sunday in the form of a cross. I wonder if this year we should mark our foreheads with hearts instead?! I think we will keep the cross motif. But as we repeat the words\, “From ashes you have come; to ashes you shall return” perhaps we may hear anew the message that it is “From Love that we have come and to Love we shall return”.
